Norris Tops Piastri in Brazilian Practice Session
Lando Norris has beaten his teammate at each of the past five race weekends.
The McLaren driver just pipped fellow driver and championship contender the Australian for the top spot in the dying seconds of practice at the Brazilian Grand Prix.
The British racer, who grabbed the title advantage from his teammate by one point after his victory in Mexico City two weeks ago, outpaced the Melbourne-born driver by a tiny margin of 0.023secs.
Earlier in the session, Oscar Piastri had been the fastest McLaren driver during the running before sprint qualifying set to begin at 6:30 PM GMT.
Max Verstappen, the sole remaining contender in the points battle, lying with a 36-point deficit behind Norris, was classified in 17th place as his Red Bull team ran a alternative strategy.
Verstappen's team-mate the Japanese driver was the only driver to crash, albeit lightly, when he rotated at corner four early in the session.
Tsunoda lost control over the exit kerbs before spinning across the run-off area, and was lucky to escape with just a light touch of the barrier.
The Ferrari of the seven-time champion also lost it, at the final moments of the session, rotating twice through the high-speed corner leading to the last turn on to the main straight.
Hamilton ended the session in P19, trailing team-mate Charles Leclerc.
The McLaren pair were well clear of the rest of the field, with the German's Sauber in third, over half a second slower than the Australian's time.
The Aston Martin of Fernando Alonso was in fourth, with Sauber's Bortoleto fifth from the Mercedes of Russell and the Alpine of Pierre Gasly and Williams' Sainz.
