In a bizarre partnership that defies traditional expectations, the game developer has unveiled an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering free extra story content for Shadows players.

Strange Questline Revealed

According to the official statement, "A mysterious confrontation draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where whispers of banned ceremonies and monstrous changes reverberate through the shadows." The narrative presents a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a clandestine sect.

The mission focuses on "strange tests and a fearsome adversary" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Transformations

The trailer showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer finishes with a dramatic moment showing a character, presumably the captive, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Rewards and Additional Content

Players who accomplish the mission will obtain an exclusive katana alongside several objects concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

This release also adds the game's latest complimentary story episode, titled "A Puzzlement."
